Cloud Solution Architect

NN Digital Hub is a subsidiary company of NN Group located in Madrid, Spain. We deliver IT services and solutions for the different international Business Units. We are looking for an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to help teams deliver secure, domain-aligned and production-ready solutions. This role bridges architectural standards and real-world delivery: aligning teams, guiding the correct use of shared building blocks, enabling roadmaps and evolving platform capabilities when genuine needs emerge.

Your impact as Cloud Solution Architect

You will ensure teams correctly apply and evolve domain, API, authentication, authorisation and platform building blocks. Working closely with the Tech Lead and delivery teams, you will translate requirements into robust technical architecture, resolve cross-team dependencies and support solutions all the way through to production.

Key responsibilities

• Apply domain and API building blocks, including DDD, REST, event-driven architecture and MCP.
• Ensure solutions align with defined bounded contexts and published API contracts.
• Select fit-for-purpose existing APIs, identify capability gaps and escalate missing standards where needed.
• Guide and evolve security architecture, including authentication and authorisation patterns.
• Apply documented identity and token flows, including OIDC, OAuth2, client types, audiences, token lifetimes and trust models.
• Apply and extend the ReBAC authorisation model where solution needs exceed current capabilities, in line with security governance.
• Design secure connectivity patterns, including mTLS and certificate-based trust where required.
• Architect reusable, governed and secure building blocks for emerging technologies.
• Align Design, Platform and Delivery teams around architectural gaps, dependencies and enabling work.
• Ensure architectural enablers are prioritised and included in the appropriate team roadmaps.
• Prevent fragmented or duplicated solutions across teams and domains.
• Define infrastructure and connectivity architecture within platform guardrails, including API gateways, networking, certificates and environments.
• Create and maintain clear architecture artefacts that support alignment, delivery and governance.
• Support implementation teams, remove architectural blockers and assist with defects, change requests and production hardening.

The team you’ll join

You will work with more than 25 experts in API Platform and API Governance, supporting a Spain business-unit project that provides services across NN Group. You will work in an Agile environment and collaborate daily in English with the Tech Lead, delivery teams and stakeholders across the organisation.
